Materials

Imagic Glass laminates using a “cast in place” resin method to bond two (or more) lites of glass. In association with our suppliers, we have formulated proprietary interlayers that meet or exceed all the requirements for safety glass (CPSC 16 CFR 1201,  ANSI Z97.1 and CAN/CGSB 12.1 M90) In addition to strength (if compromised the interlayer will hold the glass together which reduces the safety hazard associated with shattered glass fragments, as well as, to some degree, the security risks associated with easy penetration). The resin also allows us the opportunity to tint any colour and opacity, as well as the ability to laminate textured glass, materials (fabrics, films, mesh, natural fibers and flora). The interlayer also provides a way to apply several other technologies and benefits, such sound dampening, resistance to fire, and ultraviolet filtering.

Additionally Imagic Glass laminates with Ethyl Vinyl Acetate (EVA). EVA laminated glass is fabricated using specially formulated film interlayers that bond the glass using heat and pressure in a specially controlled oven.
